It is just as well that we have moved into our spacious new offices on Whiteladies Road, as it gives us the room to welcome Giordano Goggioli and Becky Henderson to the ever-growing team.

Giordano – Gio for short – joins us in the role of Business Development Manager to provide some much needed support to Mark in all aspects of his work. Mark has consistently been one of the busiest members of the team, so we know that Gio will very soon have his hands full talking to new clients and guiding them through the ins and outs of R&D Tax Credits. Having worked in business development for an international software company and a Bristol-based tech start-up, Gio has great experience to bring to ForrestBrown and he says he is looking forward to honing his knowledge on qualifying R&D activity.

As you may guess from his name, Gio hails from Northern Italy, but moved to Bristol to take a Masters in Management. Like many other students before him he fell in love with the city and has stayed here ever since. Gio has a unique interest among his new ForrestBrown colleagues: NBA Basketball. As well as following the LA Lakers and the talismanic Kobe Bryant he plays recreationally himself at one of Bristol’s street courts. Gio also plays guitar so will be in good company with fellow enthusiasts Mark Cartwright and Alex Price.

History graduate Becky has been working as a part-time Researcher. She helps by preparing client profiles and draft narratives for our Tax Managers. While predominantly non-client facing, she has also been attending select events to make connections through business networking. Becky is lining up to do a law conversion degree later in the year, but does admit to having her head turned a bit by her foray with ForrestBrown so far.

Outside of work Becky likes running and has rolled her sleeves up to take part in a Tough Mudder event. She also loves travel and has recently been to Asia and New Zealand. She tried many of the outdoor pursuits synonymous with the antipodean nation including luging, caving and surfing. She did however confess to chickening out of a bungee jump at the last minute. We don’t blame you Becky!

Managing Director Simon Brown commented:

It’s a pleasure to welcome Gio and Becky. Having recruited so many tax managers over the last few months we had a strong need for these functional roles to help manage the pipeline of new business. Gio and Becky will help ensure we continue to offer clients a smooth journey from the moment they pick up the phone to call us.
