Sara is the managing director at ForrestBrown, a role she stepped into in 2021.

As managing director, Sara is dedicated to upholding our position as the market leader for R&D tax relief advice, as well as supporting businesses to access funding from the wider innovation toolkit.

She’s leading the charge to champion higher standards in the industry and will ensure we continue to provide a superior level of service to our clients. The results of this approach were recognised at Tolley’s Taxation Awards in 2023 where ForrestBrown was named Best Independent Consultancy Firm for its integrity in a crowded market.

In her position as managing director, Sara guides the leadership team and helps to drive the direction and growth of the company. This has included building on ForrestBrown’s expertise in R&D tax relief to develop a suite of innovation incentive-focused services to help businesses of all sizes develop and grow.

She also continues to establish and nurture meaningful partnerships so ForrestBrown can reach a wider audience – something she still finds one of the most exciting parts of the job.

Sara’s other passion is people and she’s keen to encourage the development and progression of the rest of ForrestBrown’s team. In particular, she wants to pay back some of the faith and confidence the leadership team put into her journey.

Sara credits ForrestBrown founder Simon with giving her the freedom, opportunities and support to succeed within the business, and looks to emulate that attitude with the next generation of talent.

Before joining the ForrestBrown team, Sara specialised in marketing, PR and communications for a range of companies, both in-house and agency-side.

She spent three years as the senior marketing manager for the World Economic Forum in Geneva where she worked on the prestigious and globally renowned Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters.

After joining ForrestBrown in 2016 as marketing manager, Sara progressed into associate director and director roles over the following five years, taking a leading role in business strategy and partnership growth.
