Experienced finance director Andy joined ForrestBrown in 2018. He leads our finance function, ensuring we make the best use of our resources and deliver sound services for our clients.
Andy has held senior finance positions in the legal, financial services, healthcare and recruitment sectors, working for household names such as Lloyds Bank, BAE Systems, Orange and Co-operative Legal Services.
Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer of SmithCorp – a holding company for a group of specialist recruitment firms. He’s particularly skilled at working with small, fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses, as well as preparing owner-managed businesses for sale.
Andy is motivated by seeing businesses benefit from ForrestBrown’s expertise and watching them develop and grow. To him, work is about helping businesses access the R&D incentives they’re entitled to.
It is Andy’s role to ensure that ForrestBrown has the best people, environment and the financial resources to grow. This involves, amongst many other things, providing insight on monetary decisions, setting internal controls and budget management.
Andy joined ForrestBrown to be part of an exciting, fast-growing company and he applies this mindset to our clients. His mission is to help ForrestBrown continue to grow as the UK’s leading specialist R&D tax consultancy and support as many businesses as possible in the efficient preparation of robust R&D tax relief claims.
