Sara has had a diverse career to date that has seen her working in a number of marketing roles including at an agency, for a start-up and in the not for profit sector.
Most recently, Sara worked for Forestry Commission. Interestingly – given what we do – this involved work with government grants, in their case called Countryside Stewardship. This overlaps with our expertise in government R&D tax credits and is sure to be useful.
Prior to that Sara held a fascinating position at the World Economic Forum in Geneva. As a senior marketing manager she worked on The Annual Meeting at Davos-Klosters – that headline making gathering of the great and the good each January. She also worked on a project to transform their email communications, bringing in a tailored, content-driven approach. As well as being based in Geneva, the job offered Sara some fantastic travel opportunities that saw her visit India, Myanmar and Nigeria.
Sara is looking forward to getting stuck into the marketing brief at ForrestBrown: managing agency relationships, developing strategy and ensuring we communicate with all our audiences effectively:
“I’m excited by my new role at ForrestBrown. The company really stands out from its competitors and ensuring these unique selling points are clearly communicated will be at the heart of what I do.”
Away from the office, Sara is a recent knitting convert, but largely has her hands full doing up a house. She confesses she would prefer it if there was a little less structural work going on and a little more interior design.
Leanne is a qualified solicitor who is joining us as an in-house legal counsel. Following our rapid growth, Leanne’s expertise will be invaluable in a wide range of areas including HR, data protection, anti-money laundering regulations, compliance and contracts among many others we are sure!
She qualified at QualitySolicitors Burroughs Day in Bristol and has also gained experience at Lyons Davidson Solicitors and DAS Law. She is now enjoying her first in-house role:
“I’m delighted to be joining ForrestBrown and look forward to working with the team to provide legal support in a broad range of areas. I will help shape the ways in which ForrestBrown carries out its business in what is a complex environment, whilst not impeding their friendly and approachable culture.”
Like many of her new ForrestBrown colleagues, Leanne is an enthusiastic traveller. Prior to joining us she had taken a six-month career break in which she travelled round much of Asia. Her itinerary covered China, Thailand, Japan and Myanmar among other places, and she enjoyed all kinds of adventures along the way.
Managing Director Simon Brown had some warm words for the latest members of our team:
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Leanne and Sara. We have undergone rapid growth over the past two and a half years. Having this dedicated legal and marketing resource will help us continue to grow manageably, maximising opportunity and minimising risk whilst delivering outstanding service to our clients.”
