It’s already been an exciting year here at ForrestBrown, with the continued growth of our team in Scotland and a new focus for our London office. We’ve also seen long-advocated policy reforms on subjects such as data and cloud services included in draft legislation – just a few steps away from becoming law in April 2023.
And most importantly, we’ve prepared hundreds of claims for clients, worked with a growing list of industry partners and accountants. We’ve also supported numerous businesses by providing expert advice on enquiries, in-house team development and R&D tax strategy.
But we’re only just past the halfway point and it is important to maintain our momentum. That’s why we are delighted to announce two exciting promotions in our senior team. Jenny Tragner CA ATT (Fellow) becomes Head of Policy in addition to her existing Director role, and Tom Jones ATT is promoted to Director.
Jenny and Tom’s consistently exceptional performance has been central to ForrestBrown’s success in recent years. They will continue to play a key role in helping us achieve our ambition to be the adviser of choice for the UK’s most innovative businesses.
Jenny’s new role recognises the key role she has played in leading ForrestBrown’s response to government consultations on reform of R&D tax relief. She has become a highly respected voice on R&D tax relief and is passionate about raising professional standards. Jenny previously initiated a cross-industry working group that drafted guidance on professional conduct which has been endorsed by the UK’s major accountancy and tax bodies.
Tom has more than 15 years’ experience in tax and leads a client-facing team in ForrestBrown’s R&D practice, supporting clients in preparing claims to secure the full benefit of their investment in innovation. He also provides high level support to ForrestBrown Global Services, helping US businesses access vital funding.
It’s wonderful to see two stalwarts of the ForrestBrown team get the recognition their hard work deserves. With Jenny and Tom in their new roles we are in even better shape to build on our achievements throughout the second half of 2022 and beyond.
