As corporate affairs lead, James develops communications strategies to tell ForrestBrown’s story to clients, partners and policymakers.

James is focused on enhancing ForrestBrown’s position as the UK’s leading specialist R&D tax credit consultancy, supporting the senior leadership team in lobbying for change in the industry and raising standards in the R&D tax advice market to benefit businesses.

With a degree in politics and a postgraduate qualification in journalism, James combines a keen interest in current affairs with an ability to communicate complex issues in an engaging way.

He draws on experience from agency and in-house roles. Highlights include leading the PR and public affairs team for Bristol Airport through a period of major development, delivering successful campaigns on key industry issues such as Air Passenger Duty.

Prior to joining ForrestBrown, James also established a team focused on economic development for engagement specialists, Copper Consultancy. Clients included the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, the West of England Combined Authority and National Highways.
