39 Alma Vale Road is our new headquarters and it will provide the space we need as we continue our fast-paced growth. We are on a quiet street, just a stone’s throw from Whiteladies Road, and Clifton Down with its shops, cafes and direct train line to Bristol Temple Meads.
It has been commented that the new office has more in common with a design agency rather than a tax consultancy. We have always been keen to avoid the clichéd view of a tax consultant’s office being a dark, dusty place piled high with yellowing paperwork. We’re paperless wherever possible, so cloud-based storage thankfully meant we didn’t have the hassle of transporting swathes of paperwork with us on the move.
Our new office space is clean yet functional, with sleek window graphics welcoming people as they arrive. We currently occupy two floors of the building, and a Sonos Wireless Music System provides music for the different zones. We quickly invested in a bean to cup coffee maker, which effortlessly grinds beans before churning out perfect coffee time after time.
With many of our clients operating out of the tech clusters in Bristol this central location makes us ideally placed to service them and take an active part in the innovation community. Uptake of R&D tax relief amongst the Southwest’s creative and technology hubs has been swift, with well over half a million pounds worth of first time R&D claims being submitted in the month of March alone.
After a few weeks of settling into the new offices Managing Director Simon Brown said: “This is an exciting move for ForrestBrown and it’s great to have our own front door! It is the next stage in our evolution and will provide the platform for us to serve even more innovative companies in Bristol and beyond.”
