About Arahi and its work with ForrestBrown
Arahi is a software-as-a-service analytics platform, which was established just over three years ago. It harnesses the power of data to produce board and portfolio reporting packs, creating value for board members and private equity investors.
Following a formal tender process, Arahi has been using ForrestBrown to support its R&D tax relief claims. As a result of that successful collaboration and submission of a subsequent proposal for grant support, ForrestBrown prepared and submitted its application for an Innovate UK Innovation Loan.
“We were very happy with the service provided by ForrestBrown. Everyone we’ve worked with has been professional, deeply knowledgeable and credible. Based on the strength of the R&D work and quality of the team, we asked ForrestBrown provide an outline for grant work. It was robust, commercially attractive and confirmed that they would be a genuine thought partner. As a result, we decided not to go through a formal tender process.”
Highly individual, tailored approach
Given the short three-week timeframe, ForrestBrown quickly started work, supporting Arahi with all elements of the application, including financial modelling, narrative and document review. This was done through a mix of remote calls and in-person workshops, ensuring efficient project management and an early application submission.
“By adopting a highly individual, tailored approach, the ForrestBrown grants team coached, challenged and supported me. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, proved to be genuine thought partners and were rigorous in the process – constantly iterating. It certainly wasn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.”
Depth of knowledge and expertise
ForrestBrown helped Arahi navigate the complexities of the funding landscape by demystifying the process, clarifying the language used, and aligning their proposal with the expectations of the funding body.
“Despite the wealth of talent in the Arahi team, we couldn’t have done the application on our own. It required a level of knowledge and technical expertise that we don’t have. ForrestBrown added significant value by structuring the thinking and challenging it, ultimately improving the work.”
Final reflections
“I’m a big fan of ForrestBrown. An emphatic net promoter. The things that ForrestBrown do well are hard to do well. Even the small touches leave a good impression, making the experience very enjoyable. That extra thought really sets them apart.”
“The whole team is excellent, deeply knowledgeable and expert. Everyone had clear roles and responsibilities, and the team felt very cohesive. Other providers can provide functional skills, but with ForrestBrown you get a genuine thinking partner.”
