At ForrestBrown, we help innovative businesses to develop and grow. R&D is at the heart of that growth, and our work supports businesses across a wealth of sectors to make that a continued reality.
We also want to play our part in creating a better reality for those living in some of the most climate affected regions of Africa. That’s why we’ve created the “ForrestBrown forest” – our green initiative that helps restore ecosystems and transform livelihoods. It’s our way of giving something back.
We do this through our partnership with Tree Aid – a charity working in the drylands of Africa to tackle poverty and the effects of climate change by planting trees. For every R&D tax relief claim we complete, we make a £1 donation.
We’re proud of our metaphorical forest and recently celebrated a significant milestone in our relationship with Tree Aid. £15,000 has been donated since we began our partnership in 2017, which equates to 15,000 trees planted. Those trees have helped to tackle the fundamental causes of poverty and the climate crisis by restoring and protecting land and improving incomes.
It’s thanks to our innovative clients that our metaphorical forest has grown year on year, leading us to this latest milestone. Whether they’re pioneers in pharmaceuticals or at the forefront of manufacturing innovation, each has contributed to this significant achievement.
Beth Healy, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Tree Aid, shared a few words to mark the occasion:
“ForrestBrown has been a valued partner for eight years and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued support. Hitting £15,000 in donations is an exciting milestone and demonstrates how long-term partnerships can drive lasting, meaningful change.”
As we look to the future, we’re excited to continue supporting innovative businesses and, in turn, our partnership with Tree Aid.
Here’s to our next milestone and building a greener future together.
