Sam is a Senior Innovation Advisory Partner at ForrestBrown. He helps R&D-led businesses grow by advising them on securing funding, commercialising their intellectual property, and making better-informed decisions about where to invest in R&D.
Before joining ForrestBrown, Sam was Head of Client Development and External Affairs at a University of Cambridge spin-out: a qualitative research consultancy that brings patient and staff experience into the development of new products, processes, and policies.
He began his career in learning technology and digital projects, before moving into research management and strategy roles at Russell Group universities, where he worked on partnerships between academia and industry and on research policy. That path gives him first-hand insight into how research is funded, managed, and translated into real-world impact.
