Kath heads up our compliance team – which coordinates an integrated compliance approach throughout ForrestBrown. This means that right through the business we all take responsibility for legal and regulatory compliance, baking it into everything we do. It helps us to be nimble and efficient. Therefore we can respond in the right way and quickly to a client when speed is required. It also means we could help businesses which other consultancies cannot profitably serve.

Kath has extensive compliance experience. Most recently in her previous role as financial crime control officer at Barclays Private Bank. She had responsibility across seven jurisdictions, helping the bank operate safely in high risk environments.

Prior to that Kath spent 22 years in the Army, mostly working for their compliance division: the Army Inspectorate. This included a specialism in counter-terrorism financing. Early on in a broad career, Kath spent two years as a research chemist where she gained two European patents to her name. She has also represented Great Britain at hockey, only narrowly missing out on the 1996 Olympics due to a broken thumb.
