John is a chartered tax adviser with more than 25 years’ experience. He leads wellbeing at ForrestBrown and plays an integral role in supporting and developing our staff.
The bulk of John’s career has been spent at EY as a senior tax manager, where he led a specialist team in global mobility. He has also had spells at PwC and Deloitte. During the course of his career, John also gained considerable people development experience.
This expertise is invaluable in his role as an associate director at ForrestBrown where he supports the running of the R&D tax credit practice. In particular, nurturing talent in the business, developing future leaders and ensuring we stay true to our values.
John is dedicated to making our work environment vibrant and rewarding. A firm believer that people are our greatest asset, he ensures that the right wellbeing tools are there to support the working lives of employees.
Building resilience and boosting physical and mental health are not only work passions for John. He is director of We Are Aware, a community interest company that raises awareness of mental health, suicide prevention and wellbeing. John is also a member of North Somerset Council suicide prevention group.
John is CTA qualified and has an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation. He also has a degree in Industrial Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
