Elizabeth trained and qualified as a tax lawyer at Burges Salmon in Bristol, working there between 2010 and 2018. She gained her CTA qualification, the gold standard in tax, in 2013. During this time, she advised corporate entities on all areas of UK taxation. Naturally, this led to accumulating considerable experience in dealing with HMRC. This experience includes applying for formal rulings and clearances and making voluntary disclosures on behalf of clients.
Between Burges Salmon and joining ForrestBrown, Elizabeth worked at Grant Thornton in Bristol as a Tax Manager, adding experience of the accounting world to her legal background. At ForrestBrown she is a senior tax manager within our advisory practice. Elizabeth advises clients on HMRC enquiries, helping to drive them through to resolution. She also provides technical R&D tax credit advice to clients.
